Festool 495717 Review: First off you really need the extensions. They work well with two tables though. The problem is that while you can cut very long thin strips there is a minimum width that you cut across. The rails and extensions must rest on something. Yes you can put shims in but that gets to be old and really fussy fast.They are great for cutting up sheets of ply into shelves or a carcse.
